Pour Over & Drip Brewing Organic GMO-Free Coffee

Updated: Feb 11, 2019

RECOMMENDED FOR BREWING COFFEE MONKEY's "THE ONE"

This is a fast brew time which yields higher acidity, more aromatics and a brighter taste. With repetition, this method can be faster than a pod brewer, and the coffee is a 1,000% better tasting, achieving a consistently great coffee!

Coffee Monkey's love this brewing method, serving it directly into our travel mug daily before hitting the road.

STEP 1.

Place ground coffee in filter and put over vessel. Gently shake to settle grinds.

STEP 2.

Immerse all grinds with hot (see below) water by pouring in a circular motion. This creates turbulence. Once level at top of cone, keep adding water to keep cone filled.

STEP 3.

Check water level in vessel by lifting cone periodically. When there is enough water in cone to fill the cup, stop pouring.

STEP 4.

Once vessel is filled, remove cone. Take a deep inhale and enjoy!

HELPFUL BREWING TIPS FOR "THE ONE"

Coffee weights vary. Darker roasts are less dense, therefore, all measurements are approximate. We encourage you to experiment, however we recommend doing a Pour Over with Coffee Monkey "The One" at

  • 21 to 23 grams of "The One" Premium Organic, GMO-Free Coffee Beans at a medium grind.

  • 350 to 400 grams of water heated to 212 degrees.

  • Steep to off-gas the nitrogen for 30 seconds.

  • Pour over your filter in circular clockwise expanding rings for an even continuous duration of 3 minutes to the weight of water you desire.

ALWAYS REMEMBER TO:

  • Clean equipment brews better tasting coffee.

  • Heat water to a steaming, not rolling, boil.

  • We recommend using filtered or spring water.
